Platinum Pilates - Making Pilates Accessible

Pilates can be quite intimidating.

First of all, you look at the word and don't even know how to say it.
Is it Pie-Lates?
Is Pill-a-TAYZ?

Then, you look at all the unfamiliar equipment and wonder if you're going to make a fool out of yourself trying to figure it out.

And to top it off, you know it's supposed to be good for core strengthening and your scared that your secretly (or not so secretly) weak core will embarrass you in front of everyone.

Take a private lesson to learn the basics?- No way! That teacher staring directly at me is really going to see how weak I am!

Did we cover all those inner thoughts? Well, don't you worry, we were all there too. And, the thing is, as pilates teachers, our FAVORITE thing about teaching pilates is making it accessible. Literally - our #1 job is take meet you where you're at to make a safe, enriching, invigorating experience.

In case you're looking for a class that is specifically designed to help you make modifications so you can do pilates no matter what you bring with you - arthritis, bum knee, neuromas, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff issues, chronic back pain - join Dr. Keiko for her 4 week series - Platinum Pilates. It starts this Thursday, October 26, and there's only 2 spots left.
