About our Classes
We offer a diverse pilates schedule making pilates accessible to all levels of fitness and stages of life. So, from the couch potato, to the retired tennis player to the teenage ballet dancer - we got you. Check our class descriptions below and then sign up by going to our Group Class Schedule. Or, if you’d like a one on one introductory pilates session followed by suggestions on which class to take, schedule a Private Pilates Session.

Mixed Level Pilates
This is our foundational class. It's for (almost) everybody. Our classes are designed to create an uplifting and supportive environment. Walk away feeling stronger, more mobile, and pretty proud that you took a moment to take care of yourself.
Equipment Included: Reformer, Chair, and SpringboardFor: People looking for a whole body workout with elements of stretch and strength. Beginner and experienced pilates students are welcome.

Mixed Level Pilates Intense
The Mixed Level Pilates Intense class is an intensified version of our Mixed Level class challenging your strength by adding more spring resistance and repetitions. This class is for when you want to shake and sweat a little with your workout.

For: People who are looking for a pilates class that will challenge your strength. Beginner and experienced pilates students are welcome.

Gentle Pilates
The Gentle Pilates class is one in which feel-good movements are the focus. Designed for relaxation rather than challenge, this class is a serene and rejuvenating experience for both body and mind.
Equipment Included: Reformer, Chair, and Springboard
For: People looking for a slow and mindful pilates session. This is a beginner class open to all levels.

Empower Pilates
Empower Pilates is the perfect starting point, rejuvenation spot, or redirection for individuals of all ages. Whether you're managing injuries, new to exercise, or aged 60+, this class, taught by physical therapists, encourages and provides modifications as needed so that you can safely strengthen your core, improve your balance, and gain more mobility.

For: People who are managing injuries, new to exercise, age 60+

Pilates Stretch
In Pilates Stretch, the emphasis is placed on movements that enhance flexibility. Designed by physical therapists, this session guides you through purposeful exercises, leaving you feeling more mobile, resilient, and revitalized. This class is appropriate for people who feel stiff and want to gain flexibility AND for people who are already flexible but want to have better control.
Equipment included: Reformer, Chair, Springboard
For: People who feel chronically tight and want to gain range of motion or people who are flexible and what to gain strength throughout their range. Beginner and experienced pilates students are welcome.

Balance Pilates
Balance Pilates, taught by a Physical Therapist, is designed to focus on fall prevention. This class will include core, hip, and ankle strengthening to improve participant's stability in sitting and standing positions

For: People of all ages, including older adults, who want to improve their balance.

Intermediate Pilates
The Intermediate Pilates class is appropriate for people who have mastered the basics and seek a mind-body challenge through movements that require more balance, coordination and control.

Advanced Pilates
Our Advanced Pilates class is designed for seasoned pilates enthusiasts. Under the guidance of our expert instructors, this engaging session gently introduces increased complexity, balance challenges, and precision elements.
Equipment Included: Reformer, Chair, and Springboard
For: People who are very familiar with pilates exercises including students who have taken class at On the Move for several sessions, Pilates teachers, and teachers in training.
Advanced Pilates is not currently on the schedule. Try Intermediate Pilates.

Pilates for Gymnasts
Our Pilates for Gymnasts class is designed for gymnasts age 11 and over. This class is taught by Pilates instructors who have intimate knowledge about the sport of gymnastics. This session challenges gymnasts by using the core in ways that are not common during regular gymnastics training.

For: Current, retired gymnasts, and students who are comfortable being upside down and bearing weight on their hands. -
Pilates for Dancers
Our Pilates for Dancers class is designed for dancers age 10 and over. This class is taught by Pilates instructors who have intimate knowledge about the demands of dance training. This session challenges dancers by using the core in ways that are not common during regular dance training. Emphasis will be place on strengthening throughout the range of motion needed for dance, protecting the back with arch movements, and foot strengthening. T

For: Current, retired dancers, or dance teachers; and people who feel comfortable working throughout large ranges of motion of the hips, spine, and feet.
