Parkinson's Awareness Month

Back in 2012, one of our biggest motivations for opening On the Move was to address the gap in physical therapy care for young gymnasts and dancers.

In 2020, inspired by new moms who expressed a need for a trustworthy website to help them get from the delivery room to their first jog, we started Papaya Health.

And now, we're proud to offer services that address another gap in care - outpatient neurological rehabilitation and fitness. With the addition of Dr. Ellese, board certified neurological clinical specialist, we are happy to provide care for people addressing symptoms related to neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, and Concussion. If you have any questions about these services, you can contact Dr. Ellese directly at 650-382-3841 or ellese@onthemovephysio.com

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month!

Every 6 minutes, someone will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in the U.S. This April, for Parkinson’s Awareness Month, we want everyone to #Take6ForPD – take 6 minutes to raise Parkinson’s awareness – so that you and your loved ones can live Better Lives. Together.

Research from the Parkinson’s Foundation shows that seeing a PD specialist leads to better outcomes for individuals living with Parkinson’s. Raise awareness for PD care this month to help make sure every person living with Parkinson’s has access to high-quality care.

Visit https://www.parkinson.org/parkinsons-awareness-month to find resources and discover how you can join the fight for improved PD education, research, and care
